On May 22, 2024, an EF-2 Tornado ripped through Temple, TX and surrounding towns, destroying over 500 homes in the process. City officials declared a state of emergency directly following the aftermath of the tornado and began recovery efforts immediately.
Following directly behind the storm, Minuteman personnel were on-site conducting a recon mission, which was followed by the deployment of Region 6 Members to conduct Sawyer and Heavy Equipment operations.
