Minuteman Disaster Response has a team surveying conditions in South Texas. They arrived in Matagorda County early this afternoon and are working their way north and east as Tropical Storm Beryl also moves this direction.

Currently, there about 2.5 million homes without electrical service across almost 30 counties in south and eastern Texas. Flash and urban flooding is expected through tonight across portions of the Upper Texas Coast and eastern Texas

Beryl has also been a prolific tornado producer since coming ashore producing over 40 tornado warnings in Texas and Louisiana. We continue to assess these damages which have now spread over a very broad area.

Beryl is still a Tropical Storm with maximum sustained winds of 45 MPH as it approaches Huntsville, TX. Currently moving NNE at 16 MPH

Further updates will be provided as this situation develops.
