Our Mission:

Provide assistance in the immediate aftermath of a disaster through the deployment of highly trained and equipped volunteers.

About Us:

After witnessing first-hand the devastation caused by the EF5 tornado that struck Joplin, MO, in May 2011, the hearts of a few men were ignited to create a volunteer group capable of responding to and serving the communities most affected. Minuteman Disaster Response (MDR) is a first-responder support team of well-trained and equipped volunteers.  MDR has a weather team monitoring the weather.  So when a disaster occurs, MDR has boots on the ground quickly to assess how they can best serve the victims of the disaster.  Our volunteers are trained in the areas of chainsawing, debris removal with heavy equipment, and mucking out of flooded homes.
