Retired Assistant Chief Roland lives in Richardson, Texas, Collin County, where he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the North Texas Municipal Water District as a Richardson Representative. He has served as chairman and member of the City Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment/Buildings and Standards Commission. He served on the Executive Board of Directors for the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and as past President of the Board of Directors for CASA of Collin County. He is married to Dr. Sandy Roland and they have two adult children.
